About

Weston LaBar is a nationally recognized logistics strategist, executive leader, and public-
private partnership advocate with nearly two decades of experience advancing economic
growth, workforce development, and infrastructure modernization across the Southern
California region.
Weston currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Economic
Partnership, where he helps guide the organization’s mission to attract investment, support
local business growth, and strengthen Long Beach’s position as a global trade and
innovation hub. In this role, he works closely with civic leaders, industry stakeholders, and
regional partners to align economic development strategy with the city’s long-term
priorities.
He also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Workforce Innovation
Network (LBWIN), supporting initiatives that connect workforce training, employer needs,
and economic opportunity—particularly within the logistics, goods movement, and
emerging technology sectors.
In addition, Weston serves on the Board of Directors of the Harbor Trucking Association
and previously served as a board member of both the American Trucking Associations
Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference (IMCC) and the Los Angeles Business Federation (LA
BizFed), contributing to regional, state, and national policy discussions impacting trade,
transportation, and economic competitiveness.
Professionally, Weston is the Chief Strategy Officer of Waterfront Logistics, one of the
nation’s largest port-centric logistics platforms, where he oversees corporate strategy,
commercial growth, marketing, legal affairs, and strategic partnerships.
He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Ventures 52 and Quaynote Ventures, where he
fosters digital growth in the logistics and technology space by supporting early- and
growth-stage companies focused on freight, supply chain innovation, and infrastructure-
adjacent technologies.
Previously, Weston served as Chief Executive Officer of the Harbor Trucking Association,
where he grew the organization into the largest drayage-focused trade association in the
United States and became a leading voice on freight policy, port operations, clean truck
transition, and infrastructure investment.
Weston’s career bridges the public and private sectors, combining operational leadership
with deep expertise in policy, entrepreneurship, and economic development. His work
consistently focuses on building resilient industries, strengthening workforce pipelines, and
advancing public-private collaboration to support sustainable, inclusive growth.
