Here are some of the recent Successes and Achievements of LBEP over the past year.

The Long Beach Economic Partnership Board of Director, partners and supporters play a vital role in our mission and governance.

Our role in hosting, facilitating and convening meetings and events bring hundreds of like-minded individuals together to discuss the issues affecting our region and seek inclusive solutions.

LBEP has grown steadily over these last few years and continues to forge new partnerships and alliances, reinforcing our commitment to improving the economic competitiveness of Long Beach and the region.

Under the new strategic plan for 2023, the LBEP board has delivered on the following:

  • South Queensland, Australia Mayoral Delegation on AAM
  • Participating in the series of Industry Sector Roundtable discussions with Mayor Richardson
  • Hosting the Business & Industry Roundtable discussion with Mayor Rex Richardson
  • Touring Space Beach with Mayor Richardson and Deputy Mayor Martin
  • Providing funding in support of the Admiral Kidd Park refurbishment and grand opening
  • Attending Select L.A. on behalf of Long Beach foreign direct investment opportunities
  • Representing Long Beach and the WTCLB relaunch at L.A. World Trade Week event
  • Speaking at the Wonder Women in Tech conference supporting female tech founders
  • Hosting a WTCLB pre-launch event with discussion on trade issues impacting Long Beach businesses
  • Commissioning CSULB Office of Economic Research for report on the Impact Analysis of the AAM Industry on Long Beach economic growth
  • Speaking on behalf of AAM in Long Beach at the City Age Conference
  • Speaking at the 88 Cities Summit representing the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Economic Partnership
  • Launching pilot program with Long Beach Accelerator to connect student and founders on training and internships
  • Commissioning CSULB Office of Economic Research for report on the Impact of the Creative Economies on Long Beach economic growth
  • Co-hosting the Unexpected Connections/Creative Economies Conference
  • Co-hosting the Mobilize Summit on Clean Transportation Technology and Workforce Development
  • Hosting the Annual Accelerate Long Beach Economic Forum under the Growing Long Beach Together theme
  • Commissioning CSULB Office of Economic on a series of priority Industry Sector Profiles to inform future activities, projects and discussions
