LBEP is pleased to share the opportunity presented by our Advanced Air Mobility collaboration with Wisk/Boeing, to bring the first Mayoral Delegation from Brisbane, Australia: The South East Queensland (SEQ) council of mayors.
The delegation is visiting Los Angeles and Long Beach to learn about our AAM partnership with Wisk/Boeing, discuss the 2028 Summer Olympics (Brisbane will host in 2032), and our interest in AAM integration. More broadly, the group is interested in ongoing knowledge-sharing and relationship building. The City of Brisbane has partnered with Wisk to bring AAM to its City by 2032.
The AU delegation will visit Virgin Orbit, meet Long Beach Airport officials, visit Downtown Long Beach to meet with Mayor Richardson and city officials to discuss the following: 2028 Olympic Games, AAM Economic Impact Analysis (currently being conducted by CSULB), and the Port of Long Beach’s efforts on integration of clean technologies.
It’s our honor to host Mayor Richardson to meet with the AU delegation and share insights as to why Long Beach is an ideal location for Advanced Air Mobility to take flights – servicing Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
