LONG BEACH, CA — Traditionally held in Los Angeles, the Select LA Investment Summit is headed to Long Beach this year.
The summit will be held on June 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, marking a major milestone for the city’s growing prominence in Southern California.
“The significance of having Select LA in Long Beach on the heels of the relaunch of the World Trade Center Long Beach is just tremendous,” says Felipe Cusnir, executive director of the World Trade Center Long Beach. “The most prominent local investment summit brings together a combination of shared interests, community partnerships, international cooperation, and the ultimate goal of facilitating information exchange and connectivity to foster trade, investment and collaboration.”
Through matchmaking technology and networking opportunities, Select LA offers an environment that makes it possible to turn a conversation into an investment opportunity. Local partners will be able to match with international investors through one-on-one interactions, plenary panels and breakout sessions led by local and international executives.
The LA Economic Development Corporation said that international companies have unique needs and the event aims to provide a holistic strategy to navigate business channels and opportunities. Select LA provides companies with a comprehensive understanding of the region’s investment ecosystem that can guide key business decisions.
Los Angeles is home to the largest county economy in the U.S., with an annual GDP of $707 billion. More than 18 million consumers live in the five counties that make up the Greater Los Angeles Region, establishing the area as a large and attractive marketplace for every business type.
